This is true, though OS X 10.10 was still half a year away from introduction when I posted that. In planning my upgrade to Yosemite recently, one of the necessary adjustments was to replace the earlier CalDigit card with. It's not clear from the Amazon listing whether the USB 3.0 connections are bootable. The USB 3.0 ports on the new CalDigit aren't but the eSATA ports are and used in conjunction with have proven very useful.
